Mini-Bio Kaidou understood that in order to compete with Seigaku's top guns for the chance to play singles, he had to raise his level of play. For this reason, he agreed to play doubles with Inui Sadaharu and underwent his senpai's intense training regiment. He perfected the Boomerang Snake and improved his endurance, being able to keep up with both of his opponents by himself during the Hyoutei doubles match. Although Kaidou is very stubborn and doesn't give up easily, he is not immune to mental attacks. During the Kantou finals, he was mentally shut down by Jackal Kuwahara, but with help from his partner and longtime rival at Seigaku, Momoshiro Takeshi, Kaidou regained his spirits. During the Rikkai rematch, Kaidou, fueled by his rage and helplessness as his partner Inui became the bloody target of Kirihara Akaya, became a "demon". Fortunately, Inui intervened before Kaidou had a chance to do anything he would later regret. On the surface, Kaidou appears to be unapproachable and hostile. Thus, many club members are scared of him, but he does have a softer side, as evident during his interaction with Echizen Ryoma's cat Karupin. In fact, when he was in kindergarten, Kaidou was often mistaken for a girl, called Kaoru-chan and forced to wear skirts. He also cried a lot. Kaidou is nicknamed Viper after his signature technique the Snake.
Technique Snake - This is basically a Buggy Whip Shot.
Boomerang Snake - A Snake that curves around the net post.
Short Snake - A Snake that is hit near the net.
Reverse Snake - A Snake that is hit with a backhand. Thus, it has a reverse orbit to the original Snake.
Tornado Snake - Kaidou's lastest reincarnation of the Snake.
Laser Beam - A high speed technique that is nearly impossible to return. Kaidou's version is said to be even faster than Yagyuu Hiroshi's.
Devil Mode - Kaidou activated this mode during the bloody doubles match against Kirihara Akaya.
